Brief Summary of what was exposed in classes

Interquartile range

It involves dividing data into four equal groups and observing the separation of distance from extreme groups.

  1. Sort the data numerically. 
  1. Divide the data by the median into two equal parts (if the median coincides with a piece of data, include it in both groups). 
  1. Calculate the median of the lower group. That is the first quartile. 
  1. The median of the upper group is the third quartile.

Standard deviation (also standard deviation) 

Unlike the iqr, which is calculated from medians, the standard deviation measures the dispersion of the data from the mean. an intuitive way to view it is as the average distance between the data and the mean  x.

Personal Conclusions

I learned two new topics, which help us a lot to improve the techniques to analyze statistical data in a better way.

First we had to put the text code and then execute it. With a specific code we can perform any statistical calculation, such as calculating the median, mean, dispersion or perform a Box and Whiskers plot. Personal Conclusions We learned briefly how to use a software, which will help us a lot to make calculations very fast and it will be more dynamic to do a job. Sared resources: Blogger.com Brief summary of what was exposed in classes. What is a population? A population is the set of elements, indiciduals and objects that have the same characteristics about which we are interested in obtaining conclusions. What is a sample? A sample is a part of the population which is selected for the purpose of obtaining information. Personal conclusions Today's topic seemed quite timely because it helps me determine how I can organize my subject.
